The Krispy Kreme Challenge is a student run, charity based race dedicated to supporting the mission of the North Carolina Children's Hospital. We strive for a safe and fun event to bring together both the local community and the international running scene to compete in a unique challenge of both athletic and gastrointestinal skill.
Event Overview
The 2022 Krispy Kreme Challenge has both an in-person and virtual option held on Saturday, February 5th, 2022. Runners go 2.5 miles from the NC State University Bell tower to the nearest Krispy Kreme, eat a dozen doughnuts, and run 2.5 miles back. There are three different runner options: Challenger, Casual, and No Doughnut. Challengers must complete the race and all twelve doughnuts in under an hour, while Casual and No Doughnut can run or walk to Krispy Kreme, get their dozen doughnuts if they are running as Casual, and run or walk back.

Fun virtual race
Was nice racing with people in another state, virtually. I’m just getting back to a healthy lifestyle and getting moving further more regularly. Still learning to work my Fitbit. Great concept! Glad to find this race on Google! Very worthy cause!

Virtually Soaked
The virtual race this year was fun. I wish I could have organized a few friends to run with me locally, but it was nice to be able to participate even if I couldn't be in Raleigh.
