Moody National Preparedness Run

Moody Air Force Base holds an Annual 5K to kick off National Preparedness Month. However, due to health concerns with COVID-19, we have followed the trend of virtual races. The month serves as a reminder that we all must take action to prepare, now and throughout the year, for the types of emergencies that could affect us where we live, work, and also where we visit. Disasters don't wait. Moody Air Force Base’s “Be Ready” awareness campaign is paramount in arming our community with basic hazard awareness, preparedness, response, and recovery measures; having a significant impact on building a resilient community, mitigating losses, and restoring our mission capability.

Participants select a distance, sign up and pay the registration fee. They run at a location of their choice, upload their finishing time and at the end of the month are mailed their entitlements.

Remember: Make a plan, build a kit, prepare for disasters, and teach youth about the importance of preparing.
