Treasured Not Trash

Children’s personal possessions are treasured, not trash!  Yet so many children enroute to foster care end up with their belongings in garbage bags.  The Treasured Not Trash virtual 5K is raising funds for the 501c3 organization “Fostering Dignity.”  This organization was formed in 2013 to eliminate the use of garbage bags currently being used by Illinois DCFS Investigators during placement of children.  “Fostering Dignity” exists to bring comfort to a victim of child abuse or neglect at the time he or she is most vulnerable.  They solicit donations to acquire backpacks and distributes them to Illinois Department of Children and Family Services child abuse and neglect investigators.  

100% of proceeds will be donated.  

Participate now through September 9th.  All participants will receive a medal in the mail at the end of September! Thank you for participating!
